Ramen, Evolved.

Our regular ramen program stays strong with our classic tonkotsu, but we’ve also featured bold specials like bún bò Huế, chicken adobo, and buldak. We’re not exactly traditional, but we always aim to pay homage to the dish. Ramen has been a Quan Hapa staple since day one—ever evolving, always creative.

Ramen The Hapa Way

Ramen’s been part of our story since day one. Our classic tonkotsu Hapa Ramen anchors the lineup—rich pork broth, pork belly, and a poached egg. But we never stop at one style. Over the years, we’ve featured Viet Ramen with wonton and BBQ pork, bún bò Huế ramen with spicy broth and beef, chicken adobo ramen, and fiery buldak ramen. And for those who like to freestyle, we’ve offered a build-your-own ramen with choices like mushroom broth, short rib, shiso, and burnt garlic chili oil.

At Quan Hapa, we’re not trying to be traditional—we’re trying to be honest. Our ramen is rooted in Asian comfort but shaped by who we are: Asian American, Cincinnati local, and always evolving.

Timeline

From first slurp to signature staple — a look at our ramen journey.

  • Ramen Debuts

The original Hapa Ramen made its entrance: duck confit, seasonal vegetables, torchon, and a poached egg.

  • Hapa Ramen becomes Vietnamese

Our ramen evolved with a nod to Vietnamese flavors—featuring wontons and BBQ pork in a comforting noodle soup.

  • Tonkotsu Transformation

We went rich and creamy with a tonkotsu broth, slow-poached egg, pork belly, narutomaki, shiso, and burnt garlic chili oil for the Hapa Ramen.

  • Add Some Spice

We turned up the heat with the debut of our spicy coconut curry ramen.

  • Ramen Variety

Our ramen lineup hit full stride, offering bold global flavors—from pork belly and seafood broths to vegan mushroom and spicy curry.

  • Bye Bye Ramen!

We burned our selves out on making ramen so we removed it from the menu...oops. Sorry

  • Ramen Revival Plan

We couldn't stay away. Ramen returned as a rotating special, featuring creative bowls like our Seafood Cioppino Ramen.

  • Welcome Back, Ramen!

You asked. We listened. Hapa Ramen officially made its comeback as a menu staple.

  • Ramen, Recrafted

We’re back to slow-cooking our broth the old-school way—because depth of flavor never goes out of style.

Ramen
FAQ

Is your ramen broth pork-based?

Some are, like Hapa Ramen and Tom Yum. We also offer chicken and vegan options.

Are your noodles house-made?

No, but we use high-quality fresh Sun Noodles.

What’s the spiciest ramen?

Our Bun Bo Hue Ramen has a kick. Tom Yum is also hot and tangy.

Can I order it vegetarian or vegan?

Yes — all tares are vegan except for the Bun Bo Hue. Garlic Miso Ramen is a great option, made with vegetable broth and tofu. For a fully vegan version, order it without the egg and substitute glass noodles.

Do you offer gluten-free ramen?

You can substitute glass noodles for a gluten free noodle, but ask your server about the broth.

What toppings can I add?

We have a build your own ramen offering. View our menu for details.
